Here at The Daily Ant, we’ve consistently found that the brilliant Samantha Bee lives up to her namesake. Bee’s wit frequently skewers the worst of the vertebrate right. Thus, we were truly shocked when Fraternal Correspondant Joshua Blanchard shared with us a tragic comment Bee made in a recent show, laying bare that even Bee is anti-ant:

And if you’re wondering how Steve Bannon made it from the U.S. to Europe: It started raining, and the ants that comprise his body piled on top of each other to make a raft. Oh, he looks so young there!

We are unclear why Bee made the deflating choice to malign ants through association with Steven Bannon. In fact, Bannon is more aptly compared to an arachnid, invading Europe via global trade. Hope springs eternal in the human breast, but as for us, we believe it is up to Bee to regain her formicid-forward credentials.
